The second 2019 Ultra Throw event for adults will take place on Sunday, May 28 at McLeod Athletic Park, Langley, BC.

BC Athletics registered Senior athletes (ages 20 – 34) and Masters athletes (ages 35 and up) are invited to compete in the 2019 Ultra Throws Festival #2 in Hammer, Shot Put, Discus, Javelin, Weight, and Super Weight. Athletes are guaranteed 6 throws per event.

PLUS the Throws Triathlon (Shot Put/Discus/Javelin) and the Throws Pentathlon (Hammer/Shot Put/Discus/Javelin/Weight).

Cost to enter: 1st event = $12; 2nd event = $10; 3rd event = $8; 4th event & up = $6 each

Throws Triathlon (must be registered for Shot Put, Discus & Javelin)

Throws Pentathlon (must be registered for Hammer, Shot Put, Discus, Javelin & Weight)

Organizers will supply implements; however, participants can weight-in their personal implements at 8 am.

Registration has closed. No day of meet entries allowed.

BONUS! Ultra Throw will provide sandwiches, snacks and water for all participants, officials and volunteers.

The first of three 2019 Ultra Throw hosted events for adults will take place on Sunday, April 28 at McLeod Athletic Park, Langley, BC. a day after our Junior Development Festival (ages 9 - 13) on Saturday, April 27.

(Participants will be divided up into the two flights – all individual events will be included in these flights – so if all you are doing is the discus and you are in flight 1, event time is 11:45 am.)

Ultra Junior Development Throws Festival

This event provides a great opportunity for all young aspiring athletes to try out all the throws without having to race away to fit in the jumps and/or track events.

Our JD (Junior Development) Throws Festival on Saturday, April 27 is open to all 9–13-year-olds who are BC Athletics registered athletes who would like to compete in Hammer, Shot Put, Discus, or Javelin. Come out to McLeod Athletic Park, in Langley, BC, have some fun and maybe try something new.

Registration is now CLOSED.

Cost: 1st event = $8; 2nd event = $6; 3rd event & up = $4 each

BONUS! Ultra Throw will provide sandwiches, snacks and water for all participants, officials and volunteers.

For safety reasons:

  • Organizers will supply implements

  • No throwing equipment will be in use outside of the scheduled event

  • Warm up will be supervised for each event.

  • Javelin warm-up will be marshalled by the meet director.

We run a floating schedule; events may run ahead of schedule and athletes should be prepared to compete in their next event 45 minutes ahead of the scheduled start time.

The shot put is being conducted at the throwing circle near the javelin runway (NOT in the stadium)

We will celebrate the season with a casual recognition event on Sunday, October 14 at McLeod Athletic Park from 1 — 3 p.m. Enter off 216 St.
 
Schedule:

  • 1 pm: Social begins

  • 1:30 – 2:15 pm: Barbecue (beef and veggie burgers) + desserts + beverages (water, pop and coffee)

  • 2:15 - 2:45 pm: Awards presentation (Challenge trophy, Ultra Cup, and Ambassador of the Year

Children, family and guests are welcome. The more, the merrier.

$10 per adult and $5 for children under 19.

The venue is the outside picnic area at the east end of McLeod Athletic Park, so please dress according to the weather.
