Results at BC School Sports Championships

Ultra Throw athletes delivered an impressive series of performances at the 2026 BC School Sports Track & Field Championships, held June 4–6 at McLeod Athletic Park in Langley. Competing against the province's top high school athletes, Ultra Throw members earned three bronze medals and several top-eight finishes in the throwing events.

Leading the way was Charlotte Sears, who captured two bronze medals in the Junior Girls division. Charlotte placed third in the Discus Throw with a mark of 31.02 metres and added another bronze in the Hammer Throw with a throw of 39.51 metres, demonstrating her versatility across multiple throwing disciplines.

Sebastian Body also reached the podium, earning a bronze medal in the Senior Boys Hammer Throw with a throw of 44.72 metres. His performance secured his place among British Columbia's top hammer throwers.

The Senior Girls Hammer Throw featured a strong Ultra Throw presence, with three athletes finishing among the province's best. Megan Teolis narrowly missed the podium with a fourth-place finish, recording a throw of 40.78 metres. Close behind was Angelica Thiessen, who placed sixth at 40.60 metres, while Damilola Fagbamiya finished seventh with a mark of 39.46 metres.

In the Grade 8 Girls division, Makena Kuzyk demonstrated her all-around throwing ability with two top-eight finishes. Makena placed fourth in the Javelin Throw with a personal best of 25.23 metres and added an eighth-place finish in the Shot Put with a throw of 8.45 metres.

The results highlight the continued growth and success of Ultra Throw's athlete development program. Competing at the provincial championship level requires dedication, perseverance, and countless hours of training, and these athletes represented both their schools and the club with distinction.

Ultra Throw congratulates Charlotte, Sebastian, Megan, Angelica, Damilola, and Makena on their outstanding performances and for proudly representing the club at British Columbia's premier high school track and field championship.
