BC Summer Games Recap

Three Ultra Throw athletes proudly represented their zones at the 2026 BC Summer Games in Kelowna on July 25 and 26, competing against the province's top U16 athletes in one of British Columbia's premier multi-sport events.

Qualifying for the BC Summer Games is a significant accomplishment and reflects months of hard work, commitment, and perseverance. We are incredibly proud of our athletes for earning the opportunity to compete on one of the province's biggest sporting stages.

Zone 4

Liam Fox – U16 Men

Javelin Throw – 30.23 m – 9th Place

Makena Kuzyk – U16 Women

Javelin Throw – 27.14 m – 7th Place
Discus Throw – 24.59 m – 7th Place
Shot Put – 7.80 m – 12th Place

Zone 3

Bella Zanotto – U16 Women

Discus Throw – 20.43 m – 12th Place
Shot Put – 7.41 m – 13th Place

Competing at the BC Summer Games is about more than results. It's an opportunity to gain valuable experience, compete alongside the best young athletes in British Columbia, and continue developing both confidence and competitive skills.

Congratulations to Liam, Makena, and Bella on representing their zones and Ultra Throw with determination, sportsmanship, and pride. Every competition is a stepping stone, and we look forward to watching each of these athletes continue to grow throughout the season.
