JD Athletes Deliver at Jerome Classic

Ultra Throw was proud to have three young athletes compete in the Harry Jerome Classic on Tuesday, July 14, 2026, at Swangard Stadium in Burnaby. As Canada's longest-running track and field meet and part of both the World Athletics Continental Tour and Athletics Canada's National Track & Field Tour, the Harry Jerome Classic attracts outstanding athletes from across the country and around the world.

While the Field Stream offered only three events—Long Jump, Triple Jump, and Shot Put—our athletes made the most of the opportunity by competing in the shot put.

Shot Put: 8.22 metres – Bronze Medal

🥈 Verity Hiebert (JD 11 Girls)
Shot Put: 7.33 metres – Silver Medal

Lydia Rider (JD 10 Girls)
Shot Put: 5.13 metres – 4th Place

Competing at a meet of this calibre is an achievement in itself. With strong competition in every age group, our athletes rose to the occasion and delivered outstanding performances.
