Building a Stronger Throwing Community

As BC’s only dedicated throwing club, Ultra Throw plays an important role in creating opportunities for athletes to develop their skills, pursue their goals and connect with others who share a passion for throwing events.

Looking ahead, the new Board has identified several priorities for the coming year.

Hosting more competitions is one of the club’s goals. By increasing the number of events offered, Ultra Throw hopes to provide athletes with more opportunities to compete, measure their progress and experience the camaraderie of the throwing community.

Welcoming new coaches is another priority. The club is looking to connect with knowledgeable, enthusiastic individuals who want to help athletes of different ages and experience levels develop their throwing skills.

Developing officials and future coaches will also be important to the club’s long-term growth. Track and field relies on volunteers and trained officials to make competitions possible. Ultra Throw wants to encourage more members to explore officiating and coaching, building the skills and experience needed to support events and help the sport thrive.

Get Involved with Ultra Throw

Growing a club takes more than athletes alone. It takes coaches, officials, volunteers and supporters who are willing to share their knowledge, lend a hand and help create opportunities for others.

Whether you are an experienced coach, interested in learning how to officiate, a former athlete looking to give back, or someone who wants to become more involved in track and field, there are many ways to contribute.

As Ultra Throw looks to the year ahead, the goal is to continue building a welcoming, supportive and thriving community for throwing athletes of all ages.

Here’s to a great 2026/27 season and a stronger future for throwing in BC!
