Ultra Throw, British Columbia’s only dedicated throwing club, celebrated its 10th anniversary with a festive Awards Banquet held at Andreas Restaurant in Langley. The evening brought together athletes, coaches, families, and supporters to honour a decade of growth, achievement, and community spirit.

The celebration was emceed by club founder Dave McDonald, joined by the Ultra Throw Board of Directors. McDonald reflected on the club’s beginnings as a small Masters-focused group and its evolution into a thriving multi-generational organization, home to some of Canada’s top throwers across all age divisions.

We’re proud of our JDs — many rank among the top throwers in Canada!

“It’s amazing to see how far we’ve come — from a handful of Masters athletes to a full pathway supporting youth, junior development, and elite competitors,” said McDonald. “Ultra Throw is more than a club — it’s a family.”
