Ultra Throw Youth Athlete Sets Back-to-Back Personal Bests

Ultra Throw Club youth athlete Megan Teolis put her power and perseverance on full display during a doubleheader weekend at the Kamloops Twilight Meets in late April—earning not one, but two personal bests in the 3kg hammer throw.

On Friday, April 25, Megan delivered a clean series of throws, culminating in a strong PB of 49.20m on her fourth attempt. But she wasn’t done yet.

Despite a challenging start the next day—with four fouls in her first five throws—Megan regrouped, refocused, and launched a massive 50.00m throw on her very last attempt on Saturday, April 26. That final throw not only salvaged the meet but marked a significant milestone in her progression as a thrower.

Breaking the 50-metre barrier is a standout achievement for any youth athlete, and Megan’s performance is a testament to her technical skill, mental resilience, and work ethic. Facing tough conditions and pressure in the circle, she found a way to deliver when it counted most.

We’re incredibly proud of Megan for her continued growth and her fierce focus on improvement. These back-to-back PBs show she’s on a strong upward trajectory, and we can’t wait to see what she’ll accomplish next!

Way to go, Megan!
