Harnek Toor received a bronze in the javelin throw.
The 2025 55+ BC Games were held in Nanaimo from September 10–13, with track and field competitions taking place at the Elwood Wylie Memorial Stadium. Ultra Throw was proudly represented by four members who joined the Zone 3 Track & Field Team (Fraser Valley) — and they made their mark by dominating the throwing events.
Between them, Ken Townsend, David Ulis, Mohan Bains, and Harnek Toor collected an impressive haul of medals and top placements. In fact, Ultra Throw athletes swept the top three spots in the Throws Pentathlon (75–79 age group) and secured multiple podium finishes across shot put, javelin, and weight throw. Their results highlighted the team’s overall supremacy in throwing events at this year’s Games.

Here’s a closer look at their individual performances:
The competition was run smoothly by dedicated organizers and officials, whose efforts ensured a fair and enjoyable experience for athletes and spectators alike. The eco-friendly stadium, home to rabbits that casually mingled with the crowd, provided a unique and relaxed setting for competition. Combined with excellent weather conditions, it was the perfect environment for top-notch performances.

For Ultra Throw, the outing was more than just medal-winning — it was a celebration of skill, camaraderie, and the joy of competing at a high level. The experience is sure to be remembered fondly and stored on the “memory chip” of every athlete involved.
Congratulations to Ken, David, Mohan, and Harnek for representing both Zone 3 and Ultra Throw with such distinction at the 55+ BC Games!
