Ultra Throw made national headlines this month! 🎉 Our club was featured on CBC News, highlighting our podium sweep at the 55+ B.C. Games in Nanaimo and the unique culture that makes Ultra Throw so special.
CBC’s Amy Bell spoke with two of our leaders:
David Ulis, Ultra Throw Vice-President and Masters athlete, who brought home two gold medals, and Shawn Stevens, coach and Athlete Development Director, who shared how our club is building a strong community of throwers across all ages.
🎙️ From the Interview
“It’s really rewarding to see the training pay off — but what makes it special is doing it alongside friends and teammates who are all pushing themselves too.” — David Ulis
“Our younger throwers inspire the Masters, and our experienced athletes share wisdom and mentorship. That’s what makes Ultra Throw unique.” — Shawn Stevens
🌟 Why It Matters
